The Executive Master's in Technology Management (EMTM), a degree in management of technology jointly sponsored by Penn Engineering and the Wharton
School at the University of Pennsylvania develops technology leaders with strong management skills and a broad knowledge of emerging technologies.
If you are a mid- to upper-level technology manager who
wishes to strengthen both your business and technology management knowledge with a degree in management of technology, consider EMTM. Created over ten years ago, Penn’s master degree in management of technology
was the first of its kind and remains the only program to combine emerging technologies with modern management principles.
Graduates receive a Master's of Science in Engineering (M.S.E.) in the Management
of Technology (MOT) from the University of Pennsylvania and a joint certificate from Penn Engineering and the Wharton School. Courses are offered on alternate weekends (Fridays and/or Saturdays) so you can
immediately bring your new knowledge to your profession and share your experience with other students in Penn’s degree in management of technology program. Students are successful technology managers and
technology entrepreneurs.
Designed for Working Technology Professionals.
So students can maintain their full-time jobs, EMTM classes are conducted every other
weekend - Fridays and/or Saturdays - from September through May. Most students are seasoned professionals with five to 25 years of work experience who hold full-time technology positions. For these professionals
classes each weekend are a living laboratory for solving the work challenges of the following week.
One-of-a-Kind Program.
Penn’s degree in management of
technology program goes beyond the typical techno-MBA combination of business and information technology by including courses on the development and application of a wide range of technologies. Its large variety
of courses - nearly twice as many as other programs - and its focus on integrating multiple technologies into significant entrepreneurial opportunities, differentiates Penn’s degree in management of technology
program from other executive technology management programs.
